Of course you remember it. Radio won’t let you forget it as it is still played 100 times a day in 2021. This is from a gig in 2012. I put these up so you can see I was in a lot of bands between 2008 and 2018. 4 piece, trios, duos. This singer went on to play in casino bands. We only played this one gig with her. The manager, Bob, was not impressed with her singing. He was rarely impressed by any of the ten singers I used in that bar over the 5 years I played there. I think he liked one of them and she was my duo singer.
My only income is from music. If you can't send a buck, please like, sub, watch the ad, or leave a comment. All live music is gone. I'm forced to busk the street to be heard, and even that got banned last year. Even though this video has a million views I don’t make a dime off it as it’s copyrighted.
The bar was called 'the rusty gull' and had live music from early 80's to 2018. The original owner sold the bar just before the world ended. Absolutely amazing timing. My last gig there was in 2015 when I had a duo play there every couple weeks. (Bob was finally impressed) The new owner (an accountant) did not bring live music back. “Not financially feasible”, he said. I saw the money drop over the years from $1200 for two nights with a four piece to eventually $200 a night for a duo as he couldn’t afford full bands anymore.
