Dream Theater Tribute Custom Pop-up CD Case for A View from the Top of the World!
A new album by DREAM THEATER, the music band that has been the longest in my ears and in my heart, is always an Event, especially this time as it came unannounced (I really am an hermit and I didn’t know about it).
So I decided to do something special for the occasion and I customized the CD case I had just bought. I put the album cover in 3D and added a background with several of the Views designed by Hugh Syme for the album.
CUSTOM CD-CASE YEAH
I rarely push personal pop-up experiments to a publish-able quality but this time, well, it was for this VIEW FROM THE TOP OF THE WORLD. So I took the time and I even had the proofs printed at my local printer.
There are plenty of 33T vinyl album cases with pop-ups (understandable, since it’s more impressive and more easily done in a larger size), but here IMHO I kept it simple and it works also pretty well in CD size too!
I hope the band and crew and all DT fans will enjoy this too!
Cheers!
