Photography Pop-up Cards: Paul Grund
I recently stumbled on various old projects while cleaning up my computer, and since I bought an A3 printer last year and now have some nice photo paper handy, I decided to re-craft a couple of those projects.
The first one was a Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion Papercraft (the assembly session is here • Guns N' Roses Use Your Illusion Papercraft... ) and then some pop-up cards made with pro skateboarder & photographer Paul Grund / undergrund 's pictures of a trip in Japan some years ago.
This was in 2020/21, possibly to accompany an exhibit of his, and ofc COVID put everything on hold. By that time, I had made 4 cards sketches and pushed only 2 in their final form. They're very simple pops that, I feel, stick closely to the spirit of the photo art. I love putting photographs into pop-ups.
