Close look at setting up trap trees, installing pheromones, debarking pine trees, and collecting beetles. Pityoborus comatus, Myoplatypus flavicornis, Dendroctonus terebrans, Ips grandicollis, and Pityophthorus pulicarius, were collected from Pinus taeda (loblolly pine) and Pinus palustris (longleaf pine).
The Austin Cary Forest is maintained by the School of Forest Resources and Conservation from the the University of Florida for teaching and research.
