The #Entomological #Collection #Report summarizes the information in any insect collection database.
The output includes a summary of the data in the the collection, with detailed information on records, specimens, species, hosts, countries where samples were collected, and collectors. In addition, it creates graphs to visualize records by genera and tribe, collectors, historic additions to the collection, and other relevant information.
The input file needs to be in Darwin Core Standards. The minimum recommended fields are: dateEntered (Data of collection input), occurrenceID (record id), vialID (vial number), taxonTribe (tribe), taxonGenus (genus), specificEpithet (species epithet), country (country of collection), locality (locality of collection), individualCount (individuals in vial), recordedBy (collector), and associatedTaxa (host).
How it works:
1 - Upload a .csv or .txt file with the collection database in Darwin Core Standards format.
2 - Check the input data options, including the Header and specify if the file is comma or tab separated.
3 - Select a project of interest. It will display all if left blank.
4 - Select a date range of interest. It will display all if left blank.
5 - Click on Run .
6 - A downloadable report can be created in .pdf format by clicking in the Generate report button.
