One of the growing and increasingly significant challenges facing humanity is food scarcity.
Approximately 1 billion people, or roughly 1 in 8 of the global population, lack sufficient access to nourishment. Meanwhile, the annual volume of food waste in Japan is estimated to be approximately 19 million tons.
To promote the concept of reducing food waste, the Japanese government has enacted laws to minimize food loss. Restaurants have emerged that declare themselves as "Zero waste.” Additionally, the private sector has developed apps to prevent food wastage.
