In war, aside from military equipment, another thing used as a weapon to slaughter and kill people is chemicals. In 1993, 98% of countries worldwide signed the Chemical Weapons Convention, which prohibits members from developing, producing, or stockpiling chemical weapons, in the hope that this lethal threat would vanish from the world.
However, these banned weapons have never disappeared. In many conflict zones and wars across the globe, chemical weapons continue to be used, inflicting immense suffering on people.
