When you create something, you commit to its design and learn how it needs to evolve. In this video, we introduce our redesigned Top Bar hive, created with helpful feedback from our own apiary and our dedicated customers.
Our new Top Bar hive is built with a sturdier base and adjustable legs. It features a lower roof that easily opens from either side. We included standard nineteen inch top bars and decreased the internal cavity height to provide much better comb stability. The hive also includes gorgeous black walnut entrance closures and a full length viewing window for quick colony checks.
We proudly offer our hives in sustainable Sugar Pine, Douglas Fir, and Western Red Cedar. We exclusively use clear grain lumber without any knots or blemishes. This ensures your hive will last a very long time while providing the absolute best home for your bees.
If you are looking for the finest horizontal hive available, we have exactly what you need.
