Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is the next generation of Google's well-known product, designed to measure everything related to user behavior on your website. GA4 is truly the next generation, as the underlying analytics logic has changed: it analyzes data based on events rather than sessions, and the new analytics also features a new data collection model.

Consequently, switching from Universal Analytics to GA4 is a bit more complicated than simply clicking "update." Even after the switch, which is manageable in principle, GA4 users will face a number of significant challenges, as it is, in a sense, a completely new product. To help those new to Google Analytics 4, we've created this course.

In this lesson, we'll continue to explore custom events. We'll look at how to track button clicks on a website and transitions to another website. Button clicks are most often the conversion, and we'll also discuss conversions. Conversions in the new analytics are simple: you select an event and mark it as a conversion.
