Entrevista a Alonso Cueto
On the occasion of the XI ISLA we had a series of interviews with writers from Ireland, Spain and Latin America.
Alonso Cueto is a Peruvian writer, author of twenty books, including novels, essays and short stories. In 2005 he won the Premio Herralde de Novela for The Blue Hour. In 2000 he received the Anna Seghers award in Berlin for his body of work. In 2019, his novel Palabras de otro lado received the Premio de Narrativa Alcobendas Juan Goytisolo. It has been translated into sixteen languages and three of his novels have been adapted for film. He is a member of the Academy of the Language of Peru and has received the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega medal.

Con ocasión del XI ISLA mantuvimos una serie de entrevistas con escritores de Irlanda, España y América Latina.
Alonso Cueto es un escritor peruano, autor de veinte libros, entre novelas, ensayos y libros de relatos. En el año 2005 ganó el Premio Herralde de Novela por La hora azul. En el año 2000 recibió el Premio Anna Seghers en Berlín por el conjunto de su obra. En el 2019 su novela Palabras de otro lado recibió el Premio de Narrativa Alcobendas Juan Goytisolo.
Ha sido traducido a dieciséis idiomas y tres de sus novelas se han adaptado al cine. Es miembro de la Academia de la Lengua del Perú y ha recibido la medalla Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.
