Prof. Maria Fleseriu, was delighted to participate in this year wonderful 13th Edition of the Emirates Diabetes & Endocrine Congress in-person to talk to colleagues from all over the world and to learn their approaches on how to treat diseases can be beneficial to patients.
Prof. Maria Fleseriu, spoke on Cushing Syndrome & Individualized Medical Treatment of Hyperfunctioning Pituitary Adenomas. She mentions that both of these rare diseases now have new medical treatment, and the role of the physicians are to focus on the individualized treatment on these patients to improve outcomes and also improve their quality of life as well as the role of patient reported outcomes in assessing the response to treatment and furthermore discusses multidisciplinary approaches.
Prof. Maria also spoke on Prolactinomas: Guidelines and Controversies. She mentions that this is the most frequent and the treatment for most of them is medical therapy but few of them can be a challenging course that does not respond to therapy and needs multiple medications and in severe cases, require surgery and mediation.
The EDEC 2023 Congress served as a great platform for Diabetes & Endocrinology experts coming from the region and across the world to learn about the latest clinical updates by the expert faculty in the field.
