Look at that. I actually made a video while quarentined. I really wanted to edit some in my free time since I have been bored out of my skull but haven't been that inspired or motived of course... some things never change
Until I came across this cover of Jolene being sung to the tune of Hey there Delilah and i just ?? wanted to edit with it immediatly. I LOVE it so much! It's two of my favorite songs and mixing them just works perfectly and the end result is even more bittersweet than the original gaah I love it
I really like Dolly Parton in general, Jolene just happens to be iconic and one of my fav songs. I've always wanted to edit with the original but wasn't sure I could do it in a good way. But I think this just works and Im happy I did it.
I like how this came out ngl. I did it in one sitting overnight so it was mostly to distract myself and the ending may look less inspired bc I was dead tired by that point so forgive the faulty chroma keys and simpleness of it all. But I think the song just called for a raw style. I was gonna add text but decided against it so it can focus on the story of it. idk I like it. I wasn't in the mood for anything complex but I think it's fine enough
I think there's not a linear storyline but it goes with the song... You can ask if you don't get something about it.
But basically, Kiara, Simba and Nala are all friends, and Kiara and Simba are a couple. However as time goes by Simba and Nala fall in love and Kiara can do nothing but watch as her lover drifts away from her. Simba and Nala feel guilty about how they feel but in the end it's just how things are.
The scenes with the faded black and white Nala are supposed to be Kiara's paranoia that Nala will replace her (which she eventually does I guess oops). This whole thing is from Kiara's POV obv
