Like the title says this video/song is about suicide so just a heads up in case that's something you'd rather avoid.
Wow, how long has it been since I edited with a brazilian song? I'm always trying to do stuff with the brazilian songs I like but I never finish anything with them oops. But this one was different bc I REALLY love this one and it's also special to me.
Honestly it hits me so hard whenever I listen to it. Most songs about suicide usually just talk about it or make it a tribute to those who died that way, whereas this one is an open letter to anyone who's considering it - please don't jump, come down, let me help you. It's trying to save a life, and I think that's way more powerful than any other song I've ever heard. Because it may not be relateable to those who've given up, but maybe it's what we need to hear.
I also really like how it uses the mom and dad metaphor to explain life and death, because I think it does it so well. Life might be hard and makes you do stuff you don't want to, but it wants you to be okie. And death just wants to destroy your life and doesn't care for you. So as hard as it may be, I hope you choose to stand by your mom - by your life, instead of choosing your death.
The title of the video is from the second part of the song where the girl sings back to the man trying to stop her attempt, when she tries to convince him that she should just jump since we're all meant to fall anyway, and then he keeps on telling her to come down. I didn't get to edit that part but I think it's just as powerful.
And I used the mlp movie bc I felt like it had some fitting scenes, also bc this is obviously a vent and Twilight still reminds me of myself so yeah. I'm feeling better, just had a couple of bad days, but editing this helped greatly, along with being with people who helped me. Thank you so much, you mean the world to me.
And as much as I don't think this video is anything great, I still wanted to upload it just in case someone else is needed to hear this today
