We end up with a simple change that you can make on a boosted post that will make your ad reach 5 times more people. It's a default setting in the ad set called delivery and optimization. You need to change the setting from "post engagement" to "daily unique reach" or "impressions".
The daily unique reach setting will show your ads to the people in your audience only up to once per day. The impressions setting will show your ads to people in your audience many times per day. This is still limited to twice a day for the newsfeed and 4 times per day for fans of your page. But if you're showing your ads on the right column then your ads may show many times per day there.
