What is Model Train Automation - Märklin Style? (Automation Episode 1)
This video introduces the concepts of Model Train Automation. What are the types of automation? What do you need? ...and what do you need to think about? What can go wrong?
This is the first video in the Automation series. I hope to be able to explain the complex and advanced topic of train automation in a simple way so it is easier to understand and get started. However, it is a complex topic where many things can go wrong, so be patient and expect lots of troubleshooting.
Throughout the series I will focus on how to do this with Märklin components:
- Central Station 3
- Märklin signals, turnouts & decoders
- Märklin S88/L88 with Märklin C-track as contact tracks
Later in the series I intend to look into model train automation with software.
