Quest'anno il classico viaggio nella Tornado Alley è stato leggermente diverso, ma sempre ricco di emozioni!
A condividere con me questa esperienza non c'erano i miei soliti compagni di viaggio, che per una serie di imprevisti lavorativi non sono potuti venire, ma bensì la mia ragazza Maya: è stato bello condividere con lei anche questa esperienza, non era mai stata nella Alley, aveva sempre visto mille foto e sentito mille racconti ma non lo aveva mai sperimentato in prima persona, e come spesso accade nelle Great Plains, anche lei si è innamorata subito!
A livello meteorologico Maggio è stato molto sottotono - forse per il forte Niño?! - e tutto il meglio si è scatenato a Giugno quando noi eravamo già a casa, ma abbiamo visto comunque cose incredibili e documentato temporali stupendi, ma purtroppo è mancato il tornado, ci ha provato tante volte, ma non erano presenti tutti gli ingredienti della zuppa!
Come sempre realizzare un timelapse di qualità in 15 giorni non è semplici, a volte devi accontentarti di quello che giorno per giorno ti offre Madre Natura e non puoi fare troppa selezione delle clip una volta a casa, quindi questo video, in confronto a quello di molti colleghi americani è sicuramente di un livello più basso, ma comunque con la passione e la perseveranza si può portare comunque a casa un buon risultato anche in due settimane!

This year the classic trip to Tornado Alley was slightly different, but still full of emotions!
Sharing this experience with me were not my usual travel companions, who were unable to come due to a series of work-related unexpected events, but rather my girlfriend Maya: it was nice to share this experience with her too, she had never been in the Alley, she had always seen a thousand photos and heard a thousand stories but had never experienced it first hand, and as often happens in the Great Plains, she too fell in love immediately!
On a meteorological level, May was very subdued - perhaps due to the strong El Niño!? - and all the best was unleashed in June when we were already at home, but we still saw incredible things and documented wonderful storms, but unfortunately the tornado was missing, we he tried many times, but not all the ingredients of the soup were present!
As always, making a quality timelapse in 15 days is not easy, sometimes you have to settle for what Mother Nature offers you day by day and you can't make too much selection of clips once you get home, so this video, in comparison to that of many American colleagues are certainly at a lower level, but with passion and perseverance you can still bring home a good result even in two weeks!
