Hi everyone! Here’s my version of Sardine Fritters or Tortang Sardinas in tagalog. I’ve got 3 pieces of pointed cabbage in the fridge and to be honest, I am not a fan of cabbage 😅 so they sat in the fridge for few days. I had to think of a dish so it would be useful. Voila! so I came up to this recipe.

Ingredients
2 tinned sardines
3 tbsp flour
1 cup chopped cabbage
2 medium chopped onion
3-5 eggs (I used 3 XL eggs)
Salt and pepper
Oil
Method
1.) Beat the eggs in a medium bowl and season with salt and pepper.
2.) Open the tinned sardines and transfer them into a large bowl. Add the sauce to make it more tasty!
3.) Add the chopped onion and cabbage, then mix with spatula or spoon.
4.) Add the flour, then mix.
5.) Add the beaten eggs then mix again.
6.) Set the stove in medium and heat the pan and put the oil in, and after it’s heated up, it’s time to make your first batch of fritters.
7.) You can use a spoon to measure each fritter, add 2-3 tbsp of the mixture to the pan for each fritter and flatten them. If you want it bigger then you can add more.
8.) Fry each side about 2 minutes or until it gets browned.
9.) Put the fritters first into a plate with kitchen towel (kitchen tissue or napkin) to soak up oil from frying.
10.) Then carry one making the next batches of fritters.
11.) You can serve them hot or cold with soy sauce and chili or sweet and spicy sauce. You can also have it with ketchup! Especially for the kids 😊 ENJOY!!
