Helping Hands Hawaii has been providing services to the community for more than 45 years. Some of the programs we offer included:
Community Clearinghouse: access to free necessities, like clothing, furniture and household appliances; seasonal support with free school supplies and holiday gifts; and financial relief during emergencies for households struggling with their rent and utilities
SNAP Outreach: educating the community about SNAP benefits to reduce food insecurity among vulnerable populations, like families with children, seniors, immigrants and disabled/limited mobility
Representative Payee Services: money management assistance for adults diagnosed with severe mental illness who need help overseeing their benefits to pay bills and create financial stability
Bilingual Access Line: spoken interpretation and written translation services for limited English Proficient communities to help them access resources, like healthcare, education, legal support, public services and more.
