When you don't understand English in an English-speaking world, everyday activities can be very hard. A routine doctor's visit becomes a nightmare because you don't understand how to take your medication. Reporting a crime to the police is challenging when you're asked to write a statement. Even attending your child's parent-teacher conference on the right day at the right time is difficult if you can't understand the notification letter.
But, our Bilingual Access Line provides interpretation and translation services in 19 primary languages to help people with limited English proficiency access community resources. Our staff of highly trained, experienced interpreters can help build a bridge between a doctor and her patient or a business and its customer. Their linguistic and cultural expertise opens up two-way communication so that both parties are able to comfortably interact with one another.
