They Threw It In A Rubbish Skip ! 😯 617 Dambuster History Discarded !
It is quite amazing what has been donated to the museum....
A recent arrival was a broken pane of glass, upon closer inspection the writing can be seen!
I believe the Dambuster Squadron Officers Mess was at the Petwood Hotel and this unique piece of history was found in a skip..... just thrown away! I don't know when it was rescued but thankfully it was!
