SpaceX grounded by FAA after Falcon 9 rocket fails to land (after 23 flights)
Spacex lost Falcon 9 booster B1062 after 23 successful missions! It’s incredible these rockets can be reused 10 times, nvm over 20!!!! The payload of Starlink satellites made it to orbit successfully.
While I think the actual cause is probably a landing leg failing, it does mean the FAA will investigate and want SpaceX to implement the fix before more launches happen (if I’m not mistaken). That means Polaris Dawn, Crew 9, and other launches are postponed until further notice.
My thinking is we might be back to flight by next week. Fingers crossed! Good luck SpaceX team!
