University of Hull at COP26
The UK hosted the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in November 2021 to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
A delegation from the University of Hull was in attendance, including the Chancellor and an Energy and Environment Institute (EEI) team, representing research and interventions around climate change impacts and mitigations. The film features EEI Director, Professor Dan Parsons, who attended the Blue Zone during COP26; Hiatt Jackson of the University of Hull's Flood Innovation Centre; Dr Christina Roggatz, expert in ocean acidification; and Professor Briony McDonagh of the University's Risky Cities project. The film also features an innovative science engagement project with the National Youth Theatre, who brought a performance piece inspired by workshops with EEI academics, led by Professor McDonagh.
