King's Quest: Quest for the Crown (SCI via ScummVM) playthrough Part 1
This has been a long time coming. A very long time coming. I purchased these games many years ago, and have been reluctant to actually play them. Because I know, I KNOW how badly I will do in them. But I shouldn't keep putting them off forever. It's time to tackle the series that contains my white whale. It's time to try to beat King's Quest.
Sierra's adventure games were huge. After all, these were some of the early computer games that could run decently on almost anything. You didn't need twitchy reflexes, just the ability to comprehend the moon logic involved. And they churned so many of these games out. Unfortunately, as the video game market shifted more to action, this style of game and the companies that survived on them died out. But these are prime examples of early video games. And I'm eager to play it...
Even though I'm making what feels like NO progress on the tiny map, with so few items to grab. Slowly but surely I'm getting a few more things here or there, even if one was random (don't like that). I still have no idea what I'm doing in this yet. But I'm working on it... -- Watch live at / the_nametag
