Leopard Takes Down Lechwe Antelope Twice His Size
In late September 2023 we spent 1 week on Safari in the incredible Khwai wildlife concession, Botswana. We were incredibly privileged to have some amazing sightings of this remarkable young male leopard, named Bigboy by the locals!
We were in awe of his skill and preference for hunting large prey, especially the huge 130kg lechwe bull that he managed to catch. It was fascinating to watch him have such good hunting success over the 6 days with his 3 different prey species, he is an extremely skilled hunter.
