White Lion Casper Roaring Towards Rival Males (Mayambula Coalition)
Casper the white male lion of the Shishangaan coalition was very vocal this past week. He put on an impressive roaring display as he responded to the roars of the Mayambula coalition in the southwest of their territory.
2024 is going to be testing times for the ageing Shishangaan coalition of 4 as the young Mayambula coalition of 5/6 male lions have moved into the Sweni area just southwest of Satara.
Casper has a slight limp from a fresh bite mark on his front right leg however this wound is most likely from fighting with his brothers over a lioness.
On the same day we also came across his brother Mfowethu, he was closer to Satara camp and in the core of the Shishangaan coalition territory. He was not as confident as Casper and looked a little skinny and in need of a good meal.
