Elephant Throws a Bone at us
This bull elephant found a large bone and was sniffing it for a while. He then suddenly picked it up with his trunk and threw it high in the air towards us.
We like to think that he was not trying to hit us with the bone, but rather, he was most likely trying to break it open to access minerals such as calcium and phosphorous. Osteophagy is common behavior among many herbivores, especially at the end of the dry season.
