This video explains in very simple language a dangerous condition in young men which is a surgical emergency called testicular torsion. I call this condition dangerous not because it is life threatening because it is a very painful condition but if not diagnosed or treated promptly than the patient will end up losing the testicle.
Although this condition predominantly affects teenage boys but can occasionally happen in younger or older males. This is a common cause of one sided pain in the testicle and swelling. It almost never happens on both sides at the same time. During surgery both sides are fixed to avoid twist on the other side in the future.
