In these videos I explain in very simple language, anatomy and physiology (working) of different organs in human body. In each season I will select an organ and will talk about most common conditions that affect that part. I will talk about why that condition happens, diagnosis, investigations, complications, treatment and outcome of that disease.
Hernias are common. Some more than others. Some hernias are more common in women and some more common in men. There are risk factors that increase the risk of us developing hernias. These factors exclude the type of hernias. For example incisional hernias are more common in open operations as compared with keyhole operations. I have discussed this already in my video on incisional hernia hence not mentioned in this video. There are several other factors that can increase the risk of hernias but the ones I have mentioned in this video, I believe, are more important.
