Well….was Sunday's ride a success or did I demonstrate a lack of judgement by leading a group of (some) elderly gentleman through precarious gravelled and sand duned lanes in mid Wiltshire?
The more pious of us may say we should have done a “recky” - that may have resolved the faux pas with the route but would we have cancelled because of the utterly appalling state of the roads….? I don’t think so. After all, we are hardened bikers!
Dave Godden said he had not been on a run with so many “C” class roads and thats the attraction with the Honey Street run - we rode past some gorgeous countryside, through tiny hamlets with stunning thatched homes and gardens, and alongside the Avon and Kennet Canal.
Geoff remembered bits of the run and I thought I did too but - well we literally ended up going round in circles encountering the most outrageously dangerous road surfaces I believe I have ever encountered in this country! Indeed, the money has all gone!
Anyway - it was good to get together, 15 of us again I believe.
