Hello everyone. Welcome to our channel - The Institute of Nutrition and Fitness Sciences. Today we will tell you more about the Indicators Of An Effective Workout.

The first sign of an effective workout is your progress, not measured on the weighing scale, but by other factors. These aspects may include strength gains, muscular endurance, or increased flexibility. Strength gains indicate your ability to lift heavier weights than you lifted earlier, and muscular endurance showcases your ability to perform more reps of a certain exercise. Watch out for these indicators and you will know whether your workout is effective.

The next indicator of a fruitful workout is Resting Heart Rate. To calculate your resting heart rate you have to use a simple formula. Simply subtract your age in years from 220.
Now, an effective workout is also one where you do over-exert yourself. There should be a balance between your ability and the exercise plan. After an effective workout, a healthy heart will return to its normal resting rate within a short period of time. But, if your heart rate stays elevated for hours after working out, then you might be overtraining.

The third indicator of an effective workout is that you aren’t facing any injuries. A good workout will always keep the risk of any injuries at bay. This can also be achieved easily. Simply perform each exercise with better form and a complete range of motion, regardless of the weights you lift while training. If you can execute your moves with a clean form then that points towards an effective workout.

Let’s move on to the next sign of an effective workout and that is sleep. How we all love this indicator, right? Well, several studies do state that structured exercise is a valid component of a hygienic sleep routine. If you are doing a quality workout, then chances are higher that you would start experiencing a sound sleep. But, you must note that it is highly recommended to not perform your workout close to your sleeping hours.

The fifth and the best indicator of an effective workout is your mood. A good workout is associated with higher levels of well-being. This is attributed to endorphins, the feel-good chemicals, that play an important role in the body’s ability to manage pain and experience pleasure. So, an effective workout will always make you feel better mentally. If not for any other gains, you must start working out, just to experience this blissful state of mind!

The last indicator is one that I was talking about right at the beginning of this video. Motivation. With an effective workout, you will find out that you no longer need to look out for motivation
