Environment Matters - Small Streams, Big Impacts
The Chesapeake Bay is fed by a network of 100,000 streams, creeks, and rivers, including the Potomac River and its headwater streams in eight eastern West Virginia counties. The U.S. EPA recently announced a series of small watershed conservation and restoration grants. Agency representatives took a tour of some those grant-funded projects around Seneca Rocks to see how West Virginia is helping its downstream neighbors.
