Environment Matters -Tug River Tire Tug of War
Volunteers with the Friends of the Tug Fork River working alongside the DEP's REAP team have removed more than 13,000 tires from the bottom of the river over the last five years. The group was recently honored as Watershed of the Year by the Kentucky Waterways Alliance. This weeks cleanup netted another 746 tires with more cleanups planned.
