Jenny Maxwell spanked by Elvis - Blue Hawaii (1961)
Elvis Presley saves Jenny Maxwell's character from drowning herself after he rejects her seduction attempt in this clip from the film Blue Hawaii from 1961. But Elvis has an unusual way of dealing with the distraught girl. "What you need is a good old fashioned spanking," he tells her - and would you believe it, he only goes and does it! It seems to work, as the next day she's a lot happier - even if she ends up sitting on a cushion at breakfast!
In a sad side note, Jenny Maxwell died young aged just 39 when she was shot and killed with her 2nd husband in what was originally reported to be a botched robbery on June 10th 1981. Only years later did the truth emerge that her husband had planned her death just to avoid divorce settlements, but the hitman he had paid to merely injure him had instead registered a gunshot wound to his stomach which instead proved fatal to him. A sad end for a girl who deserved better.
