Ludwig van Beethoven's Violin Concerto, in D Major, Op. 61, composed in 1806 - with romantic intensity well ahead of its time! Performed here with three cadenzas by Fritz Kreisler. Audio with complete orchestral score, optimised for viewing on portrait devices.

Soloist: MSgt Regino Madrid*
*Unfortunately, the orchestra did not credit the name of the soloist in this recording. However, after some research, MSgt Madrid is the only performer I could find who had publicly performed the Beethoven with the US Marine Orchestra. I'm confident he is the soloist in this recording, but I'm afraid I can't know for certain at the time of uploading. If it turns out I have made a mistake, I sincerely apologise, and will issue any update in a future pinned comment!
The scores used in this video are in the public domain, and were downloaded from IMSLP.org. (One page of the last movement was missing from the original scan, so I've typeset the missing bars from another edition in its place - congratulations to the observant of you who noticed!)
The audio is also in the public domain, having been dedicated as such by the ensemble. It was downloaded from the same website.
