Group Work is an important part of learning in the lab. Not only does group work promote core competencies such as social skills and communication, but provides practical benefits when limited, lab space and equipment is available. However group work can also have some negative consequences such as lopsided contributions and the need to referee group interactions. Christopher Wostenberg of California North State University explains in detail.
