Why was Cillian Murphy Speaking Dutch in Oppenheimer (2023)?
Oppenheimer is a film directed by Christopher Nolan starring Cillian Murphy as Julius Robert Oppenheimer, the nuclear physicist credited with developing the world's first atomic bomb. In a brief scene in the film, Oppenheimer is heard speaking Dutch, though many speakers of Dutch say it sounded more like German and that they could not understand, something many German speakers also repeated. So did Cillian Murphy speak Dutch in Oppenheimer? And was it done badly, or was it pronounced that way on purpose?
