Perhaps you started with the best intentions. But, now you don't like your art piece anymore.
Yes, you could put it aside and come back, but you'd like to finish this one today. You can't figure out what to do next.
I've been in this situation. Sometimes "those" pieces were NEVER completed.
I've learned if I want to solve that problem today, there are steps I can take.
Try these three steps.
1) What is it you don't like about the piece? Write it down. Color, composition, lack of shapes?
Choose ONE thing that is a major problem.
2) Use your favorite artists or a style as inspiration. They have solved this problem many times. Google work that corresponds to yours. In this case, I googled. "Impressionists lake paintings")
And "Yosemite poster" because I like those two art styles.
3) Look at piece of your own work you like. What did that one have that this one didn't?
With that visual information as a guide, make a change. You may have to let go of your original concept. However, you may come up with a better one!
That's art!
