Wireless charging system for electric vehicles (EVs) with on-road wireless charger. This Dynamic wireless charger project is designed using inductive power transfer principle. Here a wireless transmitting coil is placed under road and a receiving coil is placed under car. The transmitter circuit provides a high frequency AC current to the transmitter coil where the current through the Tx coil is converted into electromagnetic waves which radiates around the coil. The receiving coil under the car picks up the electromagnetic waves from the transmitter coil and converts it into a high frequency AC current which is converted into DC and used to charge the vehicle wirelessly. This project will eliminate the need to charge the EVs separately in a charging station where we have to wait for hours to get the vehicle charged by plugging the charger cable into the grid. Also the battery capacity can be reduced while using dynamic wireless charging saving battery costs.
