Density based Traffic Light Control System with IOT
Density based traffic light control system identifies the density of vehicles in individual lanes and changes signal timing according to the traffic density. This smart traffic signal management project uses Arduino to control and IOT module to send traffic information to mobile app. Arduino Uno board is used here. ESP8266 WiFi module is used for IOT which acts as a local web server with a particular IP address. 16x2 LCD display is used to display timing and traffic density. Inductive loop sensor is used instead of usual IR sensors which provides accurate sensing of vehicles.
