COPD Move - Günther Hirsch from Austria
Günther Hirsch is a much-in-demand Austrian engineering consultant. He lives in a small town outside of Vienna and was diagnosed with COPD in its most severe form – stage 4: GOLD – in 2007.
For him, this meant an immediate and radical departure from his previous way of life. His business required frequent air travel and this chronic lung disease impacted not only his private life but also his professional career.
Günther Hirsch had been physically active throughout his life and - once he overcame the initial shock - it was this regular exercise regime, which helped improve his physical condition and boost his self-esteem. He still likes to exercise regularly and his wife Renate is always there to support him.
