Tips and Tricks Remove duplicates #Shorts
Removing duplicates is handy if you have a list of products or other information and you want to end up with a unique set of values.
In this example we will highlight this list click data tab and click remove duplicates.
The columns are selected – Product, Colour and Sold price.
In this case I’m going to hit Ok to remove duplicates where all 3 of those columns match – that should be true for column 4 and 5, 8 and 9.
As you can see it has removed the duplicate values.
Let’s do that again and ctrl Z to undo and this time only remove duplicates where Product name is duplicated.
Highlight – Click Remove duplicates, Select product only – click ok. Now we have a list of our products without any duplicating product names.
Be sure to use this remove duplicates when the results need to be deleted, if you just want to hide the duplicates then check out my video on how to use a filter in Excel.
