How to Randomize Data in Excel #Short. This video will explain how you can use =RAND to randomise data. This example changes a list of products from Alphabetical Order to a random order. There is no native function in Excel to perform a random sort of data. Therefore we can use the RAND function to randomise data.
First type =RAND and click on the formula and hit enter
Drag the formula down
Click on the top part of the column and click Sort and Filter and sort from smallest to largest
You can then delete the RAND Column
The data has now been randomized.
