HOW did Korea become divided into TWO separate entities?
In the aftermath of World War II, as celebrations were in full swing, the United States, the United Nations, and the Soviet Union found themselves grappling with the question of what to do with Korea, recently liberated from Japanese occupation. Unable to reach a consensus, they ultimately decided to divide the country into two separate regions: the South, supported by the United States and the UN, and the North, backed by the USSR.
Unfortunately, this decision did not lead to favorable outcomes. Mistakes were made on both sides, and the consequences of this division can be explored in more detail in the accompanying video.
