19 TET - Dagdröm 2 - Microtonal Music
A little impressionist piece to showcase how microtonal music can sound nice and harmonious.
19-TET, 19 equal temperament, 19-EDO or 19-ET is a tuning system derived from dividing the octave into 19 equal steps. It archives a small deviation from perfect pitch having a relatively small amount of notes per octave. Tuning sistems different to 12-TET can have a new and refreshing feel for listeners acostumed to more standart music.
If you want to know how to make your own 19-TET music electronically, using freeware: you can make a tuning file using Scala (.scl file) and then use it to re-tune your favorite sampler like Sforzando for example. Or you cand use soft synths that allow a tuning file. Alternatively, there are re-tuner plugins that re-tune midi notes via pitch wheel based on a tuning file.
