The Netflix series “Drive to Survive” has made Guenther Steiner quite popular with fans of F1 thanks in part due to the way he handles his various duties. Recently his driver Romain Grosjean expressed doubt over the future of the team and this led to some discussions at Haas. Some had speculated that the issue was concocted for the benefit of Netflix’s filming crew. The truth has now been revealed.

It all began when Romain Grosjean had been asked about his future at the team and he responded by suggesting that the more pressing issue is whether the team itself will continue in F1
This led to some tensions within, as team principal Guenther Steiner appeared to have been caught off-guard.
Incidents like these had been one of the hallmarks of the Netflix series in the past and some felt that this was just another example of that
Grosjean has given his view on this
“I’m sorry if I said anything wrong. I didn't want to create anything. So, no, there’s no Netflix episodes, there is no problem. I said something that I shouldn’t have said, and then... you know I’m sorry for the team. And all is good”
Steiner himself also gave his thoughts on this
“I mean, I was never upset about it. You know me. I react to something and I get over things pretty quick. I mean, I’m not upset. It was just like... I was amazed when I read it, because I wasn’t there obviously”

Renault’s Esteban Ocon said that “the change of the regulations is going to be impressive and everyone will try to get the best car possible to fight for the top, and hopefully Renault will do that as well”
He also knows “the challenges” of being Alonso’s teammate and also knows that “Fernando is a quick guy”
Racing Point team principal Otmar Szafnauer thinks that his driver Sergio Perez has “been loyal to” them and “he’s been here for a long time, he’s a great racer. He works well with Lance”
He therefore feels that “all those factors do matter when people make decisions” regarding the team’s future
Meanwhile, F1.com senior writer Lawrence Barretto has alleged that as per his source Sebastian Vettel has already been offered a contract by Racing Point
Williams’ George Russell has revealed that their “car is very sensitive to following others and it becomes very difficult to control when” they are “in the wake of others”
This he feels is the reason behind them having “two very good qualifying, one good qualifying and three very poor races” as “on a Saturday [in qualifying] you’re not following others”
Mercedes’ technical director James Allison feels that their “big lead may have more to do with the fact that the competition is having a bit of a hard time and less with the fact that” they “have done something special”
A spokesperson for the Barcelona circuit has confirmed that “Everything is going ahead as planned” and that they “are not affected by the restrictions”
Former F1 world champion Damon Hill said that “Bottas needs to focus on putting pressure on Lewis. If it requires psychological tricks to unbalance Lewis, then maybe that's what Valtteri should do”
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen said that “maybe other teams have made steps” and maybe they “have gone in the wrong direction”
