RB driver Daniel Ricciardo hasn’t had a stellar start to the 2024 season. In both races, he was outqualified by teammate Yuki Tsunoda and is yet to score any points. Many feel that if he does not start performing soon, his chances of ever earning a top seat could be in jeopardy. Marko started off by highlighting the importance of the current season for both RB drivers
“There’s a lot at stake this season for both Yuki and Daniel”
He then issued a call to action to Daniel
“Ricciardo has to come up with something soon…”
“At least Tsunoda is very good in qualifying”
He signed off by pointing out their race pace struggles
“They are in the points in the first stint, only to fall further behind afterwards…”
“Whether they are putting too much strain on the tyres or there are other reasons is what you need to find out.”

The FIA “stewards reviewed positioning/marshalling system data, video and determined that the video appeared to show that car 4 [Lando Norris] moved before the start signal was given” [Official Statement]

Retired F1 driver Felipe Massa has sued the FIA, FOM and ex-F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone over the 2008 world championship [Reuters]
He is claiming compensation for estimated financial losses of around 64 million pounds ($82 million) plus interest”
In response, Ecclestone stated “if he had asked me, I would have said it was the complete right thing to do” [British Press Association]
