In this video I show you how I repair a pallet wood clock that I made some years ago. One of the hands was broken and the pyrograving needed a refresh. It was freezing outside with a cold wind blowing!

The pallet wood is untreated pine from pallets I get from a small shop just in front of my house. I use a heavy hammer and an old hand axe to cut through the nails behind the wood which I’ve found stops the wood from splitting.

I have put a coat of outdoor varnish that protects the wood from the humidity and rot. After 4 years, the wood is still looking good.
