The Color Dodge blending mode is a harder one to predict. In general, it lightens colors in the midtones and decreases overall contrast. The end result is a pop in saturation in the midtones. I find the Color Dodge blending mode best for stylistic looks and color grading. You can use the ON1 Effects filters to blend an image with itself using Color Dodge or apply unique color grading. I’ll show you both examples in this video.
