HOW TO GET A VISA FOR FRANCE FROM THE US 2021 // My Visa Application Process for France
How to get a visa for France from the US 2021. Getting a visa for France from the US is a challenging feat, to say the least. And while I've had to go through the process two times in the past, the system has completely changed in recent years--which brings me back to square one.
Since I'm currently trying to figure out how to get a visa for France from the US, I figured I'd share any information I gather along the way, in the hopes that this will help streamline the process for anyone else going through the same struggle. I start by clarifying the difference between a tourist and long stay visa, and then explain the overall gist of my visa application process for France (specifically as I prepare to work as a lecteur d'anglais). I provide a detailed timeline of all the events that have occurred thus far on my visa application journey, and then show you how to apply for a long stay visa for France on the website France Visa, as well as how to book and reschedule appointments via the VFS website. Finally, I go through what documents we're required to bring, and additional documents that aren't listed but may be requested at the appointment nonetheless (because nothing about this process is easy).
I think I speak for all of us when I say that applying for a long stay visa for France is not fun. If you have any information of your own to share, please do so in the comments! It may help someone out more than you know.
As always, thank you for your support, and don't forget to like and subscribe! Okay, let's bla bla about how to get a visa for France from the US in 2021. C'est parti !
