Search Spanish companies and directors - graph, news and table
Hello, as I mentioned, I have been working on Spanish companies and directors. So far, my parser has loaded 50% of the total Spanish companies and directors and I expect to have it complete over the next few days.
I have added a real-time search that searches the companies as you type. The directors, since there are many with the same name - in Spain there is no unique identifier for directors, unlike other countries - are linked to the companies. Therefore, by entering last names and first names, the companies that include that name among their current or former directors will appear.
I will keep improving it, but for now it seems like a fairly clean option to me.
I have also added a filter. Large companies can have many links, which makes the chart illegible. The filter works with any element in the graph, so company names, directors and positions can be filtered. The chart updates instantly as you type the filter, and displays the corresponding results.
When the charts are large (more than 100 nodes), a cluster is generated represented by a single node when the data is received. This allows the chart to load immediately. By double clicking on the cluster node, the chart opens up. Charts with 1000 or 2000 nodes can take quite a while to load (loading is done in the browser), with the cluster even a 1000 node chart loads in a couple of seconds. Either way, I will improve it.
In addition to the chart, there is a table that can be copied into an Excel sheet using the copy icon. This table represents the data from the first search, if companies or directors are added they are not in the table.
To the right of the chart I have added a space to save searches, to have a history. This will be improved and will have several functions added soon.
Finally, below the chart are news articles related to the companies. By double clicking on a node, related news articles appear, if there are any. I will have to change the news API, but for now it serves its purpose.
